Aligned Body Healing
A structural integration practice centered on supporting the individual journey of healing.
about the process
What is collaborative massage?
Collaborative Massage is a culmination of my experiences, foundational training in Zen Bodytherapy®, Zen Triggerpoint®, and Somassage®, and hands-on findings as a bodyworker. My foundational belief is that the body has the ability to heal itself and that I, as your practitioner, am here to support you in that journey. The Structural Integrative fundamentals inform my entire practice, acknowledging that the body is not a collection of individual parts but an interconnected being where one area directly impacts and interacts with another. We will work together, using your breath and engaging with your parasympathetic nervous system, to unravel the muscular tension and fascial alignment to bring ease to your movement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
My private practice is located at my home on N 42nd St, Tacoma, WA 98407.Do you require appointments?
Yes, all sessions must be booked through my booking platform. For any booking requests within 24 hours of the session please email me at [email protected].What should I do after the session?
I recommend hydrating with lots of water (and electrolytes!) the day of and a couple days following our session. Also, a twenty minute soak in an epsom salt bath is preferred, however a sauna, hot tub, or extended hot shower are viable alternatives to the bath. Taking the day to rest, stretch, and be mindful of how the body feels is important to integrate the work. There is a chance of muscle soreness in or around the areas we work, to move through that tension or experience less of it, doing the previously stated tips will be helpful.Do you do mobile massage?
I typically do not do any mobile massage. In extenuating circumstances for existing clients, and when my schedule allows, I will consider mobile massages. The mobile fee is $75 if you live within 15 minutes of me, for every 15 minutes further there is an additional $25 fee. There also needs to be ample space for my massage table and for me to work around it.What is your cancellation policy?
I require at least 24 hours of notice for all cancellations, for any late cancellations the full price of the session will be due. I reserve the right to waive or enforce this policy at any time.Do you take insurance?
HSA and FSA cards are also a viable form of payment. For those with other insurance types, you can pay up front and then I can create a superbill that you can submit to your insurance. Otherwise cash, credit, or debit are acceptable forms of payment.

Erika H."Cooper is amazing at what he does. He listens to the client and then focuses not only on their specified area, but also the surrounding areas for a more wholistic approach. While I feel the work that was done for a few days after each massage, it is in a positive way. I can feel the improvements. I only wish I could afford to go weekly! He has a lovely, cozy space and set up, and I never feel uncomfortable. Also a lovely conversationalist if you like to talk during the appt."
